Toyota multimedia issues

I'm new here and this would be my very first post! I just got a 2021 Corolla with the upgraded multimedia and nav system, but its not working right, Miracast and MirrorLink don't connect, the navigation struggles with addresse. I reported it to the dealer, they promised a fix last July 21st, but now they're not responding. I'm thinking of reporting it to the authorities, but in the meantime, has anyone found a way to get this system working properly??

Mirrorlink is gone for the last 5 years I think, so it's not surprising it doesn't work. Miracast is something I a massive hate towards because it sucks, so I'd avoid both of those as much as I can. If I'm not mistaken, your Corolla should support wired android auto and apple car play, so it's the best workaround you'll have.

Yeah, thats what I figured, just wanted to be sure i wasn't missing some secret trick. I'll stick with Android auto then, even if i'd hoped for a wireless option. Have you tried any of those wireless AA adapters? Worth it or more trouble than theyre worth??

You're absolutely on the right track, wired Android Auto is quite reliable. There are some wireless adapters, such as AAWireless and Ottocast, that perform well, however, your experience might differ depending on your phone and car
