My XRS catalytic converter is gone, can I use a basic one

My catalytic converter decided to take a nap, and now I'm wondering, are XRS models some special snowflakes or can I just slap on a basic one like the regular versions? I am having a heck of a time finding a new one for the XRS, any pro tips before I end up with a paperweight?

Have you looked into the aftermarket? Sometimes it's easier to find a performance-oriented aftermarket catalytic converter designed specifically for the 2ZZ-GE swap cars or XRS models. Brands like MagnaFlow or Borla might have direct-fit or universal options that can be adapted by a good exhaust shop
