'16 LE AC drama

I've got a bit of a weird one with my 2016 LE. So, I just had the evaporator coil replaced because it was leaking like a drama queen, and ever since then… the AC's been acting real moody. Basically, it blows nice cold air but only when I'm zooming down the highway. The moment I hit traffic or slow down..boom back to lukewarm 'meh' air like it's on strike or something.
could they have messed something up during the repair?, like is this a fan issue now? cos I just want my cool breeze back without having to drive like I'm in fast & furious to get it

Bring it to the HVAC specialist ASAP. That's gonna get your headache away. It's hard trying to see the issue from here.

Yeah airflow issue for sure, if the AC only gets cold while youre moving, it's most liekly the condenser fan isn't kicking on when you're idling or in traffic. They prolly messed with the fan wiring or left something unplugged while replacing the coil. Best to have them checked by the dealer first.

Oh well, they probably botched something during the evap job and odds are your condenser fan isn't kicking on or not at full speed, so when you're stationary, there's no airflow to keep the system efficient. At highway speed, airflow makes up for it.
Could be a disconnected fan plug, bad fan relay, or even the fan itself got knocked or damaged when they were in there.

I'm thinking the refrigerant levels could be off. They could've either not filled it up properly or there could be a leak. In any case, @Lobster's right, take it to a specialist, i don't think there's anything you can do yourself, unless you have all the tools for this kind of a job

It seems like we're all in agreement on this one. This usually points to a fan problem or some faulty wiring following the evaporator swap. There's also a chance it could be low refrigerant, but I'm leaning towards that condenser fan not working right at idle. Did they say anything about checking the system after the repair?
